Approach

  • Challenge

Media Zoo was approached to assist 21,000 employees across the globe to transition the cloud-based HR platform, Workday, over a 2 year campaign.

The project involved raising awareness of the transition, educating leaders in supporting their teams, and providing educational resources on how to use the platform.

Branding was required to integrate and blend a diverse range of deliverables; from campaign posters to explainer animations, emojis to learning platforms.

  • Solution

Using our ‘Double Diamond’ approach, we pushed the client into taking a fresh look by “breaking the brief”.

Through a “Discover” and “Define” phase, the two core ideas that needed to be communicated came out as:

    1) This was a journey. Their internal team was busy ‘preparing for launch’ and that even after launch, the phased roll-out meant that the transition would continue for 2 years after the launch.

    2) Scale. More precisely, the different scales of impact: there were the global benefits to the organisation (macroscopic), regional benefits (mesoscopic) and individual benefits.

Over the course of 3 design sprints, the “New Horizons” concept was developed.

  • Results

The campaign went live in February 2021; with a 60-70% engagement in employee login.

The Art Direction was used to create a range of multi-platform collaterals, including:

    Posters
    Social media
    Powerpoint decks + toolkits
    Animations
    Learning portals

Subsequently the Design Studio was commissioned to create the identities for the consultancy’s Performance and Development programmes.
