Media Zoo is Creative Agency in London, with specialisms in Public Relations, Film and Learning. Their internal Graphics team was largely used to produce proposals and struggled to produce client-facing work.
No one knew the ROI of Design to the business, it was frequently undersold and viewed simply as a cost-centre.
Working with the Managing + Creative Director, we established the Design Studio - a client-facing, revenue-generating, fourth-pillar to the business, selling Creative Direction + Campaign Marketing as key products.
Insight: Without vision + oversight, the internal team was undersold, under utilised and under performing.
Strategy: Build design solutions for clients; track the monetary value across the business to drive investment into the Team; reframe from ‘Graphics’ to ‘Design’.
Solution: Internally-led training + SOPs, tracking of business metrics, creation of Design products; formalised job roles and career development planning.
